Screen printing is the most cost-effective and popular technique for printing on clothes, especially when wholesale quantities are needed. Using this method, we mostly make prints on t-shirts, both simple and also more complex ones, unique printed t-shirts.

Screen printing allows quick and reproducible printing on clothing in a short period of time. However, if you want flexible production, an alternative is transfer screen printing (thermal transfer), which allows you to spread production over time. Such an option can be helpful for companies, sports clubs and clothing stores that periodically order small batches of printed clothing. Whatever your needs are, screen printing is always a good choice because of the durability and aesthetics of the end result.

Yes, screen printing is a very durable printing method. The inks used to produce the prints penetrate the material of the T-shirt, and become durable and flexible. However, it is important to remember the proper use of the shirt. You can read more about it in our articles:

The price of screen printing depends on the number of colors but if you want full color graphics we can do CMYK screen printing for you. This involves combining prints in several primary colors so that you get a full-color graphic. Thus, screen printing has virtually no limitation on the number of printing colors.

We use screen printing mainly to make prints for T-shirts but also make prints for sweatshirts, promotional gadgets and other textiles. It is a very versatile printing method that is suitable for printing on all flat surfaces, not just clothing. If you would like a customized quote for our screen printing services, please contact us.

Screen printing can be used to print on cotton, polyester and synthetic garments. It can also be used for printing on ceramics and even on very difficult surfaces such as silicone. The key issue here is the right choice of paint. In order to check the durability of the print, it is best to make a test before ordering production.

Flex and flock printing on clothing

Flex printing is a material that we plotter-cut into any shape and then indent into garments. With this technique, it is possible to obtain colorful and durable prints that have special properties, such as reflective printing or glow-in-the-dark printing.

One of the main advantages of flex printing is that it can be personalized, making it an ideal choice for printing shirts with a player’s name and number. In addition, this printing technique is relatively fast and inexpensive, making it an excellent solution for orders of smaller quantities of printed T-shirts.

Flock differs in that the print is mossy and resembles suede. It is mainly used on fleeces and sweatshirts.

What are the limitations of flex printing?

Sublimation

Sublimation is a printing method used primarily on artificial materials containing polyester. Sublimation printing is particularly popular for the production of quick-drying sports shirts and full-print shirts, which are very popular in the gaming community. Thanks to sublimation, an almost unlimited range of colors is possible, making it possible to create very complex prints on the entire surface of the T-shirt.

Custom printed promotional gadgets:using sublimation, we make prints on selected promotional gadgets such as mugs, shopping bags and others.

Sublimation also offers a number of other benefits, including:

  • Durability

Sublimation printing is very durable and resistant to abrasion, fading and other mechanical damages. What's more, because the ink penetrates deep into the material, the design will not chip or crumble.

  • Indiscernibility to the touch:

sublimation allows to obtain a print that is not perceptible to the touch. Compared to other printing methods, such as screen printing, sublimation printing is not convex, nor does it create a so-called "rubber effect", which increases the comfort of wearing garments with such a print.

  • No color restrictions

Sublimation is a digital printing method, which means that the design is created using a computer and printer. This makes it possible to achieve very high precision and accuracy in printing and to print full-color prints.

Limitations of sublimation

Of course, like any method, sublimation also has its limitations. Here are some of them:

  • Materials

Sublimation works only on artificial materials containing polyester. It cannot be used on cotton or any other natural materials.

  • Price

Sublimation printing can be more expensive than other printing methods, such as screen printing. This is because it requires special inks and papers for sublimation, which are more expensive than standard inks and papers for printing.

  • The inks are not opaque

Sublimation inks will not cover the existing print or change the color of the material. In practice, this means that you can only print on light-colored material.

Embroidery on clothing is an excellent way to personalize and distinguish your garments. It is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also a durable form of marking that will survive many washings without losing quality. Computer embroidery is an automated process of embroidering logos on clothing to create precise and durable designs.

Applications of computer embroidery

Computer embroidery is commonly used in uniformed services such as the military, fire departments and police. It is also ideal for marking corporate clothing. Embroidery can be done on many materials such as cotton, leather, polyester or nylon. However, it is important to remember that some fabrics, such as silk or satin, can be too delicate or stretchy, making the embroidery process more difficult.

Logo embroidery is a very good choice for companies, sports clubs or schools that want to stand out and present their logo or crest on clothing. The embroidery possibilities are almost endless – from small patches on T-shirts to large embroideries on jackets or backpacks. The embroidered design can also complement an elegant shirt or handmade ornaments.

Limitations of computer embroidery

Computer embroidery has some limitations that you should keep in mind when deciding on a method of marking clothing.

  • Impeded access

Not every place can be embroidered with a logo. This can be difficult around pockets and buttons.

  • Project preparation

To make computer embroidery, one must first prepare an embroidery design in a specialized program. This is a very complicated process that requires a high level of knowledge and experience of our workers.

  • Waterproof

For obvious reasons, the material pierced by the needle will no longer be waterproof. Therefore, we do not recommend embroidering on rain jackets.

Computer embroidery is very durable because the logo is sewn directly onto the material. There is no way to remove it. Embroidery is done using polyester threads, which are fade-resistant and very durable.

Computer embroidery can have many colors. All basic thread colors are available, as well as many shades. You can also use threads in special colors such as gold, silver or even reflective.

Embroidery, even with a fully automated machine, can be very difficult and requires a lot of knowledge and skill on the part of the operator. There are many factors you need to know about to make good computer embroidery. We write more about this in our article: everything you need to know about computer embroidery.

Computer embroidery can be made on cotton, synthetic materials and leather. We also offer embroidery on motorcycle seats made of eco-leather. We do not recommend embroidering on materials that should be waterproof.

The price of computer embroidery depends mainly on two factors: the surface to be embroidered and the complexity of the design. The larger embroidery area increases the machine’s working time, which has a significant impact on the final price. For this reason, small embroidery can be cheaper than printing, while very large and detailed logos will be expensive to produce.
